About.

Sarah was born in Washington D.C. and moved to Colorado Springs at three years old when her father was stationed at Peterson Air Force Base.  She began her dance training at age 8, as a complement to her figure skating, with Patricia Hoffman, formerly of Ballet Rambert.  Sarah was completely taken with dance and began to study at the Colorado Jazz Dance Company with former Broadway performer, Zetta Alderman.  While training with Alderman, Sarah had the opportunity to train with dance legends Ben Vereen, Chet Walker, and Sherry Zunker.

After graduating from high school, Sarah attended the University of Colorado where she pursued business and marketing while continuing to train and perform throughout Colorado full-time.  After completing her undergrad in 2007, Sarah danced at the Walt Disney Resort in Orlando, Florida eventually taking a job in marketing in 2009 due to family pressures to live a more consistent lifestyle.

However, Sarah's heart belonged to dance and she moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 2010 to return to dance full-time.  Between 2010 and 2018, Sarah taught ballet (Vaganova and Cecchetti), Horton, and contemporary dance techniques throughout the Jacksonville area.  During this time Sarah had many students that were accepted into prestigious companies, universities, and training programs around the world such as the Bolshoi Ballet Theatre Summer Training Program in Moscow, Russia; Alonzo King's LINES; The Joffery Ballet Apprentice Training Program; and the American Ballet Theatre's Summer Intensive in New York (for a complete list of the companies, universities, and intensives that Sarah's students have been a part of, please click HERE).

During this time, Sarah also performed with Braided Light Dance Project, Paradigm Flux, and the St. Augustine Dance Guild.  In addition, Sarah also opened a long-haul trucking company in 2014 and was a co-founder of Screen Door Dance room with Chelsea Hilding in 2015; a dance studio that catered specifically to the adult and professional community in Jacksonville and the surrounding areas.

In 2018, Sarah's choreography, Le Soliel Qui Rit
, was chosen to be performed at the South East Regional Ballet Festival in Montgomery, Alabama.  2018 also took Sarah to New York where she began a dual-degree graduate program at New York University.  She will graduate with an M.F.A. in Dance from Tisch School of the Arts and an M.A. in Dance Education from Steinhardt School of Education in May 2021.  After graduation, Sarah plans to continue performing and choreographing as well as entering the world of higher education where she hopes to continue training the next generation of artists.
